Assistance to businesses

The Firm assists Italian and foreign companies and businesses with day-to-day advice and with contractual, commercial and litigation matters.

This work has made it possible to become familiar with the needs of a business first hand, and to deal with contracts, relations with customers and suppliers, breaches of contract, debt recovery, litigation, contractual liability, privacy and domestic and international commercial dealings.

The approach of the Firm is therefore not limited to handling the individual dispute: it also takes into account the operational and commercial consequences of a decision and, where possible, the prevention of legal risk.

Protection of individuals and families

Alongside the work carried out for companies, the Firm has built up substantial experience in assisting private individuals and families.

Family, inheritance and property matters often call for an assessment that cannot be confined to strictly legal considerations, but must also take into account the personal, financial and relational circumstances of the people involved. Experience gained in carrying out appointments as amministratore di sostegno — the court-appointed administrator who supports a vulnerable adult under Italian law — has further deepened this dimension of the Firm’s work.

Constant dealings with the Giudice Tutelare (the guardianship judge), families, public bodies, social services and healthcare and care facilities have provided specific experience in handling situations in which legal protection, assets and a person's practical needs are closely connected.

A professional practice in constant evolution

Over the years of practice, the way people live, work and do business has changed significantly. The growing use of the internet, of digital platforms and of electronic payment systems has generated new problems and new needs for legal protection.

The Firm has therefore progressively added to the traditional areas of civil law new areas of competence relating to e-commerce, unrecognised payments, computer fraud, privacy, the protection of personal data and digital contracts.

In the same way, the increase in financial difficulty among individuals and businesses has led the Firm to look closely at debt management tools and at the procedures set out in the Codice della crisi d’impresa e dell’insolvenza, the Italian business crisis and insolvency code. Continuing professional development is therefore an integral part of the Firm’s method.

  2. Identification of the legal issues and risks
  3. Assessment of possible solutions
  4. Definition of the strategy, taking account of time, costs and benefits
  5. Negotiation or representation in court, depending on the matter

Where the nature of the matter requires it, the Firm works together with notaries, accountants, doctors, technical experts and other qualified professionals.
