Invalidità civile, Legge 104 and appeals against INPS

The Firm assists with questions concerning the recognition of invalidità civile (Italian civil disability status), of disability under Legge 104/1992 — the Italian framework act on disability — and of the indennità di accompagnamento, the attendance allowance paid to those who need constant assistance.

Assistance includes reviewing medical and administrative assessment reports, applications relating to a worsening condition and, where the requirements are met, action concerning INPS.

This area covers invalidità civile, challenges to the percentage awarded, applications based on the worsening of a condition, recognition of disability status and of severe disability, the attendance allowance, the review of medical assessment reports and appeals against INPS, the Italian social security institution.

The position is assessed on the basis of the medical and administrative documents available, including in order to establish whether the conditions for court proceedings are met.

Where necessary, the work is carried out together with doctors and specialist consultants.
